Are Your Labels FDA Compliant?

Labels serve two purposes. To get you off the shelf into people’s carts – this is a time when a book is being judged by its cover – and to comply with FDA regulations. As consumers we are faced with decision fatigue and the right messaging to your target customer is crucial when you are not there to educate them on why your product is so amazing.

I recently met with a food brand that is ready to go into wholesale. They proudly showed me their health department approved label. I had to take a deep breath. I don’t know why the state would approve it and I asked them to get ready to take some notes. There were probably six things wrong with the label that could get them in trouble with the FDA. I also had a number of suggestions regarding their branding and reaching their target customer.

I offer FDA label reviews for compliance and also include a section on branding and positioning in the marketplace as part of the service. It is important to have both. Please email me if you would like to learn more about this at [email protected]
